...that I'm wondering how on EARTH I'm going to get through the next few months--and who knows how long after that, since there's no set deadline--without a car. Nowhere to go (hardly anywhere to walk to, and too hot to do so anyway), nothing to do, no one to see, all day every day, and a toddler who gets very upset if I try to do anything that doesn't directly involve him. Same apartment, same room, same furniture, same toys, same watching of the same clock for the hours to pass until Jason gets home, hoping he will make it all better--day after day.
Sigh. It will work out, before I snap...right? There are worse things. I would take this over going back to Valley Medical Shoppe in Rexburg. (Yes, that's right, I was SPECIFIC! VALLEY MEDICAL SHOPPE, WHERE I HATED, HATED, HATED WORKING! I don't work for you anymore, so I can say that you are TERRIBLE to work for and what are you going to do about it? Fire me? NO! HA! The days when you could tell me what I could and could not write on my blog are over!)
Lol. I remember going to church on Sundays when I was working at VMS, seeing the moms, and thinking how nice their lives must be, not having to work, getting to be home with their babies all day. It's just like I said last time. No matter where you are (physically or chronologically), life can be hard.
...Anyone giving away free cars?

If it makes you feel any better I know EXACTLY how you feel (well minus the baby part). My husband has the car ALL day (noon to 10pm) and we usually sleep in until 11pm because we go to bed so late. Therefore, I NEVER get out of the house. I just sit here on the couch in the same spot on the same computer every day. Too bad we aren't neighbors and we could go crazy together! Seriously though, I think I am going crazy... I'm sorry your carless and lacking a little freedom :(
I am really sorry! That stinks! I was without a car most of the first year and a half after our first child was born and I still go without it a lot of the time (because we still have one car), but I can take the car sometimes now. For the first while it was REALLY hard. I remember my mom telling me to make sure I went for a walk every day (so as not to go insane). I don't know how hot it is where you are but maybe you can go early enough that it isn't too hot yet? We were in Folsom, so it was hot, but not unbearable and it made a HUGE difference, just to be outside for a while. It is still hard despite, but it really helped me. Luckily now I can take the car some of the time and I live close enough to the park that we easily walk there. It will get better, eventually. Until then, just take it day by day. I also tried to find "projects" to do to keep me busy. Anything from organizing, cleaning, sewing, crafts, reading, etc. It helps to feel like you have SOMETHNG to do. Hope things get better for you.
Oh I SOOO know how you feel. Then try actually having another car and not being able to fill it up with gas to go anywhere. So not fun. Anyway, I understand your situation and I was JUST there. Love you!
